The AGM X3 was one of the winners at the UK Mobile Industry Awards 2019. The device managed to win an award for “the best ruggedized device”. The awards were handed out to the winners on June 6, and members of the mobile industry voted on the winners.
The co-founder and CEO of AGM Mobile Devices Europe, Robert Pryke, said that he’s delighted that one of the company’s devices received such an award, and that the award represented another step on AGM’s journey to becoming a leading player in the rugged smartphones category. AGM’s goal is to bring its devices to a wider audience in the future.
Smartphones that the company manufactures are waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof, while they come with IP68 certification. Those devices are also tested for the MIL-STD-810G military standard of ruggedness, and are powered by Android. Qualcomm’s chips fuel the company’s phones, and select models even come with JBL-tuned speakers.
The AGM X3 is actually quite powerful in the spec department, as it is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, and it comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone includes two cameras on the back, and right below them sits a fingerprint scanner. A dual-LED, dual-tone flash can be found next to the phone’s main cameras, while AGM’s branding is present on the back of the device as well.
The phone’s back side is curved, while the phone does include bezels on the front. Those bezels are not too thick, but they’re not as thin as on some other phones out there. On the flip side, the AGM X3 does not feature a display notch or display hole, so most people will probably rather deal with a bit of bezel than look at a display notch or a hole.
The AGM X3’s speakers are tuned by JBL, while the device features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display. The phone includes 12 and 24-megapixel cameras on its back, while the 12-megapixel sensor is the phone’s main camera sensor.
A 20-megapixel camera can be found on the device’s front side, while this phone ships with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has global support for 4G LTE connectivity, and its battery can be recharged in two ways, wired or wirelessly.
Speaking of the battery, the AGM X3 comes with a large 4,100mAh unit, and you can utilize Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging in order to recharge it. If you prefer wireless charging, AGM has included support for 10W Qi charging, though you’ll need a Qi charging pad, of course.
The phone does support facial scanning as well, it uses its front-facing camera. The AGM X3 ships with an NFC chip, so you can use it for wireless payments as well. The AGM X3 can also show your real-time temperature, humidity, and pressure, thanks to a built-in sensor. If you would like to know more and / or buy the AGM X3, follow the link down below.
